| 1370 - By this date Glyndŵr’s father, Gruffydd Fychan, had died. Owain, still under age, became a royal ward - possibly assigned to the Earl of Arundel as his guardian. |  |

| 1387 - The death of Sir David Hanmer led to the semi-retirement of Glyndŵr to manage his estates. |  | 
| March 24th, 1387 - Owain and Tudur entered the service of the Earl of Arundel as esquires, and Glyndŵr took part in the naval battle of Cadzand off the Flemish coast. |  | 
| December 19th, 1387 - Glyndŵr probably fought at the Battle of Radcot Bridge. |  | 
| August 4th, 1388 - Reginald de Grey became the 3rd Baron Grey of Ruthin. |  | 
| July 12th, 1397 - Richard Fitzalan, Earl of Arundel, was arrested and then executed on September 21st. |  | 
| July 20th, 1398 - Roger Mortimer, 4th Earl of March, was killed in Ireland. |  |
